We're lucky we got Midnight Cowboy - the guy whose flat we borrowed was pushing for something beginning with Milf... (If you don't know, don't Google)

Its almost as good as spice world! I lasted 45 minutes, and that was really hard. Whats even worse is that I worked on it. Oh what am I talking about, I work in Advertising!!! Sorry Bill Hicks.

Helen chose 'Lolita' for 'L' on Friday, and Vicky chose 'Midnight Cowboy' for 'M' on Sunday. On Saturday we got 'Be Kind, Rewind' out too. Busy film weekend really. so did you enjoy 'be kind rewind'?

Yes, although it's unexpectedly far more to do with community spirit and Fats Waller than it is to do with video shops, but that wouldn't really have sold the film! The film recreations are the best bits, it's true. It also has a very loose relationship with reality. Co-incidentally, Mia Farrow stars.

If you didn't warm to it at Ghostbusters, you were never gonna warm to it, it's true.

'N' was for The Never Ending Story (Jo's choice). Fantasy sequences shot in Bavaria, earthbound sequences in a pre-condo Toronto.
I was just looking at the sequels on IMDB. Leader of the real-world bullying kids in The Never Ending Story Pt 3? Jack Black.

'O' was for Old Boy (Noeleen & Alan's choice) - Blimey, it's hard-going in places.

'P' was for Paradise Park (Laura's choice) - A recent Gus Van Sant film, worth seeing for the Napoleon Dynamite moment at least (assuming you've seen Napoleon Dynamite).

Our A-Z film club ground to a halt a while ago when we reached 'Q', so in the meantime Carolyn, Laura & I are starting a Woody Allen-a-thon - Watching all his old films (which we've collectively got most of on various DVDs and VHS tapes) in order. Starts tomorrow.
Anyone else tried anything similar before?

Is Anybody There?(I'm not asking if anyone's still reading this thread, it's the trailer for that Michael Caine film shot around Hastings the other year)
