Michael and I should be transferring the Axis Deer material from mini-disc to cdr later this week: if all goes well, the first copies of the album will be out very shortly via the website. We'll also be stocking a number of his zines, which can be sent out with the initial cdr orders (or independently) 'til they run out. Michael's mini-disc player is quite old, so if anyone wants to lend us a more up-to-date player with a usb cable, that should ease things along. The cdr edition of the Sun In Wintertime compilation should therefore be possible afterwards.

I have the master minidisc, and all the artwork printed, but am going to have to get Marcus to help make the first cdr copy, as our computer wasn't up to the job. If it's possible, Michael would like to fade 30 secs off the end of a track before we burn any cds; he would come along himself to do this. If it has to be a straight burn of exactly what's on the minidisc, he doesn't have to be present. Anyway, it's almost out, the title is DC, and it's 14 tracks long.

Need to have a look at the software, it's some freeware piece of crap that is supposed to be able to do stuff like that but the functionality isn't all it should be.

Not the problem! Couldn't install a cd burner on your one, but just about got it in on my parents' computer (almost equally as old, the computer - not my parents), but couldn't get their one working for long enough to download the necssary programs to read Michael's minidisc player. Your computer been a boon for getting the site side of things sorted though, thanks again!

(sigh):Almost there, just lacking a cable this time. Maybe sorted tomorrow... Lucky I'm only being interviewed in a brewery, and not trying to organise a piss-up in one.

It's ready! With Michael Rivers' cables, Michael Huggett's minidisc player, and Marcus' computers and expertise, I now have the first cdr copy of Axis Deer's Dc album at home. It'll have to wait 'til the weekend for me to get copies made, so available from Sunday evening! Initial orders through the Dizzy Tiger website (details online there soon) will receive an Axis Deer 'zine as well.

Two things: - Michael never did get the zines sorted before he went to Bristol, so please don't expect any yet. - I've gotta send a bunch of Axis Deer cds down to him, that will be being stocked in a record shop down there (will post details of it on the Stockists thread, once that's sorted). Apparently, the Bristol shop in question has heard of the label (and are still happy to stock the stuff), which is a nice suprise. On that matter, I've got tape orders to fulfil from both Sweden and the USA at the mo, so things are spreading about a bit..
