Dave mailed this slideshow page from The Guardian's recent comedy photo special. www.guardian.co.uk/flash/page/0,,1867169,00.html Some great, some less so. But The Mighty Boosh trump all (skip ahead to Image 18 if you're in a hurry). You kids love them.

Extracted from the latest Don't Feed The Poets mail-out: "Meanwhile some exciting plans are afoot for the autumn. Tickets will soon be on sale for four forthcoming high profile Hastings events, including comedians Josie Long (October 12th, White Rock Hotel) and Stewart Lee (October 23rd, Venue M) plus writer/comedian AL Kennedy (November 11th, Electric Palace Cinema) and the legendary poet Linton Kwesi Johnson (November 9th, Sussex Hall)."

Michael and I are up for Stewart Lee, certainly, so I'll look into getting tickets for that nearer the time...
Anyone else?

I'd certainly be up for the Stewart Lee gig. Me loves him. Lee (Hume not Stewart ... ) recently went to the Fringe Festival and saw Josie Long, I think he would recommend that one.

I'd certainly be up for the Stewart Lee gig. Me loves him. Don't get too excited just yet...according to this www.stewartlee.co.uk/gigs.htm he appears to be up t'other end of the country immediately before and after the 23rd, so they may have got it wrong. Will keep an ear to the ground, though... x

Obviously I don't go out looking like this every evening... By the way, despite what you may have read in The Guardian yesterday, Herring's new show is one of the angriest, anti-BNP, pro-voting/democracy/multi-culturalism shows around.

Ted Chippington at the Westhill Hall tomorrow in Seven Dials - his alleged final show south of Coventry. Hoping to get tickets later. Support from The Sticks & others, plus rumoured special suprise guests (Stewart Lee? Robert Lloyd?)
