I think your links have changed (the looting of the shipwreck story actually brings up today's Channel 4 board-meeting). As far as the independent label link-up goes, well it's all just about money isn't it? Beggars Banquet were one of the first independents to tie themselves in with a major (Warner Bros.) anyway. Looting of shipwrecks is still common practice around the UK. Stuff was swiped off the Amsterdam at Bulverhythe in the 1960's. I like how, though some of the barrels contained wine and perfumes, some others contained pesticides etc. Bon appetit!

different sort of interesting, barney and i went to the science museum and the natural history museum on saturday. we had a brilliant time, i haven't been to either since i was about seven. our plan is to have as many adventures as possible before being limited by buggy/baby/maternity pay limitations.

My memories of those museums are so fond, that I'd be afraid to go back, in case the dinosaur or the blue whale had got a bit smaller, or the biplane hanging in the rafters had vanished.

Brighton & Hove have one of the most thriving music scenes in the country, according to the head of the Brighton Institute Of Modern Music, in this Brighton & Hove City Council press release. It is possible the report has some bias.
