www.britmeadhouse.co.uk/I had a little bit of a panic, because the West Dorset Tourism website was showing a lot of places as fully booked over that weekend, but it lied! (Which it might be worth passing on to anyone still looking for a place to stay...) How are the preparations going over in Canada?

Great spot Caroline - looks like it's about 5 minutes walk from where we are, but 5 minutes closer to the beach!

(Which it might be worth passing on to anyone still looking for a place to stay...) We're now unfortunately not able to go to Nick and Melinda's Dorset do, as my Dad's having a heart op the day before. So if anyone's still looking for somewhere to stay over that weekend- the place above now has a vacancy...

Best of luck to him, and the rest of you, for this op. - I should see you and Michael between getting back from Canada and going to Dorset, hopefully, but if you're all a bit preoccupied or indisposed I guess we'll catch up after. Take care, stu x

Ta! It's a 'sorting out the plumbing' operation, rather than an emergency 'swoop in and patch things up' one, and should hopefully make him feel a lot better, but that hasn't stopped me fretting like a good 'un...But then, that is kind of what I do! All crossed fingers appreciated. x

Mitch Mitchell, drummer with the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Billy Gorilla said he met him in Hastings just a few weeks ago (he had a house on the West Hill) and said he was a really nice guy.

Can someone get knocked up so we can have some good news on this thread?
I'd volunteer but I don't have the plumbing.

Sometimes it takes a while for these bits of information to filter through to us, but I've just found out that Keith from Blueboy died last year, here in Brighton.
As well as some gigs, I've said before I think I met him in Hastings once.

Oh that is a shame, he was great fun at Word About Town. I've got his undersung, inverse-Robinson Crusoe novel Man Friday - it's wonderful.
