His partner was certainly living locally in recent years, I met them at a party in St Leonards (yes, they're very nice), and have seen them in George Street and thereabouts.

This afternoon in store: Nicholas Lyndhurst & partner. He dresses incognito, so I thought he might be a bit off, but he said Hello on the way in, so bonus points there.

Sound like the name's Bob Posner (24 minutes into the i>Player ), a bassist. The Rokes comp Let's Live For Today is on another Cherry Red subsidiary, Joe Foster's Rev-Ola - which also did the Bronco Bullfrog comp a few years back.

We have a proper 'spot' for you in Eastbourne yesterday evening. NOT at the Festival, but taking a stroll near the theatres, the actor Stephen Tompkinson. No immediately obvious celebs in the Winter Gardens, but The Maccabees were being tailed by both the NME and Channel 4 (T4, E4, or whichever). Friends from Toyskin, To The Moon Alice and Kamikazi 64 in attendance. And saw Preston again on Western Road a couple of weeks ago: looking healthier.

Did anyone see Rory McGrath & Paddy McGuiness on The Cutter's team at the Pram Race on Wednesday? They were filming for their Channel 5 show Rory & Paddy's Great British Adventure. Witnesses seem a little thin on the ground, although I saw a couple of photos.

Poly Styrene at last night's Goldblade gig at the Engine Room.
Chris Eubank (again) today, on his way to Jubilee Library. Maybe he's living in the My Hotel there: we saw him in the bar during Brighton Live the other week.
And (again) Preston (again) on Western Road (again). But then he does seem to live a couple of streets away from us.
