when 'harold bishop' was in panto at white rock, tom and i kept running into him everywhere, trying not to slip on the icy sludgy snow. we saw him looking glum in marks and spencers, we saw him looking like he'd just bought a bottle of cheap whiskey, coming out of the londis near threshers, we thought about inviting him round for trivial pursuit or to the filo. but didn't. if we had and he did that would be a bloody briliant story (albeit one you would already know), but we didn't, so it's a shit story. (i have a hangover, not good)

Apparently he (Harold Bishop = Ian Smith?) was indeed in The FILO sometimes, whilst he was in panto the other year. I only saw his co-stars: Big Brother's Spencer in the Gritti, and Dean Gaffney in the Dragon. I was thinking of more up-to-date celebrity-spots, to be honest, but if people want to post-up any previous sightings, then why not!

It's not exactly celebrity, but we met a fun woman called Georgie when we were up in Hertfordshire the other weekend, who illustrates the Rainbow Magic Fairies books (this will only mean something to people who know kids at primary school)
This thread is clearly struggling!

Michael Aspel was in Bexhill for the latter half of last week, but that's 'cos the BBC were filming Antiques Roadshow at the De La Warr, so not exactly a suprise spot!

Absolutely, really sweet & polite kids. Cave really is very tall though - I was suprised! I'd heard rumour they'd moved to the other side of Brighton now, but dunno if that's true. Cave's office would presumably still be in Hove though. I hate shopping in Cottinghams, 'cos I can't afford it: 90p for a tin of Whiskas?!

The super nice producer Nick, on the current (ahem) commercial I am working on, is the son of Geoffrey Unsworth. Does this count at all? Supposedly Sean Connery and Liza Minelli are his god parents!

How far do Brighton natives count as a 'spot' within Brighton? 'Cos Western Road turns people up all the time. I'd like to count one of Electrelane. I'd not like to count Tourette's Pete from Big Brother.

Was 99% sure, and then Michael said that he lived locally, so... yeah. Him.
