The March issue had my reviews for: Cloud Atlas www.myspace.com/cloudatlasbandand Kamikazi 64 www.myspace.com/kamikazi64Can anyone with the new issue (Jose Gonzales cover) tell me which of my reviews (if any) went in this time? I spent most of this afternoon clearing a backlog of further Myspace reviews for Adam, so there should be plenty more coming up. Also, feel free to put your music forward for reviewing, or to suggest other acts worth a look.

Stuey my friend, what are the chances of doing a feature on the Long Goodbye in the May edition, with a review of the album? Possibly the front cover or is that just being hopelessly pretentious? Our Cd launch locally is at the Rooms on May 4th. The Brighton one at Joogleberry on Tue 29 April

I think East are running with a Mark E Smith cover next month, reading between the lines on their site (this would fit with this year's run of covers: Alfie Allen, Jack Penate, Jose Gonzales), but I'll email Adam with info on the Rooms launch for the listings, and see if he can pull any kind of larger feature out of it.

Cheers Stu! Are you coming to the Joogleberry launch on the 29th? Maybe you could do a review of that x

Best thing to do with the CD-R of the album, Alfie, is post it to the East Magazine office - You can find the address by clicking on 'Contact' down at the bottom of the homepage at www.eastmagazine.co.uk, but I'll PM you it anyway. In this way, you can add a covering letter with a biog, details of who's guesting on it, etc. I have emailed Adam and Dave at East with your gig details and as much about the album as I know, and that you'd be willing to co-operate with any sort of feature if they're interested. I'll be at the Joogleberry gig regardless, and am happy to write a review of it: I just can't promise it'll be published anywhere! I've mentioned freelancing to the editor of Latest 7 recently too, so that's an outside possibility, I guess. Obviously, if you could pass me a CD-R of the album at the Joogleberry gig, that'd help with anything I write. See you then!

The July issue of East has my MySpace reviews of Jake Eley www.myspace.com/jakeeleymusicand P For Persia www.myspace.com/pforpersiaplus my live review of Your Friends Are Architects and others at the XYZ magazine Unsigned gig at the Concorde 2. I strongly recommend checking all three of them out whenever you get the chance. We saw P For Persia (who share members with Charlie Uniform November Tango, and include friends of Harry Holmes and family) at the Prince Albert the other weekend, and they were fantastic, completely different to anything else happening locally. Incidentally, amongst the other 4 bands on the Prince Albert bill that evening were a Dutch group called Storybox who struck me as the sort of band that Rumiko might like to touch base with should they ever want to do some gigs in the Low Countries www.myspace.com/mystorybox .

August's East has MySpace reviews of Basique www.myspace.com/basiqueand Doctor Of Tekno www.myspace.com/android06plus a P For Persia review from the Prince Albert. Carolyn & I also contributed to the new Top 5? section of the mag: my photo also stars Luke (yay!), whereas allegedly 29-year-old Carolyn (hmm...) is unrecognisable in burqua-style hoodie. Oh, and there's a plug for the Hastings & Rother Music Archive on Facebook as well. Bumper issue! (True: they've upped the page count)

February has: Spleen & The Flesh Machine www.myspace.com/spleenandthefleshmachineDrawbar www.myspace.com/drawbarorganReal Seasons www.myspace.com/realseasonsDoctor Fonda www.myspace.com/doctorfondaEveryone gets 8/10 - coinicidental (I wrote them at different times), but a good bunch nonetheless. If you're particularly sharp-eyed, you'll see I've been bumped-up to a job-shared Editorial Assistant post, hence all the extra bits I've got in the mag this month (and, yes, that is the Eastbourne music column I've done this month, it's a bit confusing). And I am getting paid now. A bit. Also, Rich from Overhead Wires got himself into the Readers' Recommendations section, discussing Joy Division. Did people notice Leon in the mag last month, btw? I can't remember if I mentioned it. There's also a Regular John feature, which was a suprise. And error-free this time, I think.

Hey Stu, i didn't know you'd done a review of the Long Goodbye in April...I looked for it on the East website but it ain't there....do you still have it? Quotes from it would be handy for the biog.

It's not on the East site, but I still had it in my email box, so I've forwarded it to your Hotmail address. I might be able to find a spare copy of the actual issue it was in, if you want! stu x

Hey Stu, could you do a feature about the Music Xchange in the August issue? I take over at the beginning of august and had a lot of financial complications, which means that i really need to start selling straight away. If there's a chance, let me know and i will send you some info about what i'm gonna do with the shop etc. That would save my life! xx
