This is a montly night at a brighton venue (the three and ten - very similar to upstairs at the marlborough theatre). I cannot recommend it highly enough. I know some of you already know him and his stuff but this is well worth heading over for.
The next one is in the first week in April and the following one is 07 May so I'm thinking of going for my birthday.
Stu and I went two months ago when Richard Herring was supporting and I was worried to go again as I thought it could not get any better. However I went last week and it was the funniest thing I've ever seen. The whole room was crying with laughter. And there was the bonus of Bob Mortimer being in the audience. Brill.

Gittins is at SLICC, The Crown House (on the seafront, I think), St Leonards, with Peter Perke, Friday 10th April - feature in East.

Anyone else up for this? Also where on earth is it?

Pretty sure the Crown House is along the Marina, near the Royal Victoria Hotel & Marine Court.

Trust me on this - it's an odd one, in that it doesn't look like a pub, more like a scaled-down version of the Masonic Hall round the back, but it is there. Here's a picture link, from a search engine result, on someone's Photobucket

We're off to see Gittins tonight for Carolyn's birthday. I gather most of you didn't get to see him in St Leonards the other week, so here's a bit from his own YouTube channel to show you the sort of thing you missed...

None of us saw it because he didn't do the gig. Dave's response was, "Whoops, I forgot".

Going by Gittins' (in-character) Twitter, and the fact that it's SLICC again tonight, it looks like he could be making up for it this evening, if you've not made plans yet.

If you weren't aware yet, Brian Gittins' friend Angelos Epithemiou will be helping out on the new series of Shooting Stars, starting Wednesday.

Brian Gittins (the character himself) features in the new Gervais/Merchant film Cemetery Junction which goes on release today - there was a clip on the Graham Norton show earlier this week. Hurrah!
