[Press-release from Michelle at i-Candy...] It's all going a bit strange down Hastings way! On November 14th, the artists collective, "Nine Inches of Face" present a new experience - "The Electric Blowhole." Nine Inches of Face is made up of artists, bands, DJ's, promoters and filmmakers. With events like "Black Hole, " "Rip It Up" and "Eat My Shorts" under their belts and with one member running his own record label, you know you are in for something special! To be held in The Pine Gallery, in the Claremont building in Hastings, this one-off night brings two bands together for the first time. "Sandrabbit" are the side project of Rumiko Jr's singer Deano. Already with a strong following, they will be launching their second album on the night. Headlining will be P for Persia, a full on, energetic noise rock band, who look to Lightning Bolt, DJ Scotch Egg and Sonic Youth for their influences. The bands are joined by DJ's Bubble Pop Electric, Rheumatoid and Dunderhead. With visuals by Adam Clements and Emmett Ives and an interactive art experience by Leofwin Edwards and Fred Wheatland, "The Electric Blowhole" guarantees a splendid and unique night out for all. Tickets only 2 pounds and are available from The Musical Exchange, Claremont, Hastings

Sorry we didn't get to the Blowhole #3 on Saturday, how did it go?
I saw the Sharley Parker CD in Marcus' photos - can someone type the tracklist up here when they get a few minutes? Cheers.

It was good, the back room of the Pig is much better than the Pine Rooms as a venue, they dressed it up so it looked pretty cool. Not all of the bands were to my taste (Dusty Rosko are Tears For Fears) but nice to have somewhere to hang out where the Dj's good.
July 10th sees the return of Rumiko Jr at the blowhole. It's been a long time but we're back, no country for old men.
