Anyone want to give my new band The Monster Season a support slot? Obviously, I don't know who else is in the group, or what instruments to play, or anything at all just yet; and no-one's written any songs. But I'll guarantee that we'll fulfill any contractual obligations. The Monster Season aren't signed to Dizzy Tiger either, that'd be an abuse of my position!
nb: I may require some bandmates...

You can play bass if you want! Musical ability isn't going to be high on the agenda, or even possibly in the building... All I'll have to ensure is I get enough drinks in first, so that the idea of playing a gig is as appealing as it was when I posted that last night after a few bottles of San Miguel.

Just play another bass! Like Delta 5! Or Ned's Atomic Dustbin...

Under-rehearsed, free-form, non-musicians playing-about is exactly what I had in mind! Reuben - you're hired. Nick - you're in Canada, but I could text you as soon as we start-up at a gig, and you could play along at hone...

Jesus, Nick, it's not the year 2525 & we're not playing on the fucking Moon! Reuben's playing kazoo: how far off internet streaming do you think we're gonna be?! Thanks for the offer though: I did once see a group at The Lift in Brighton, who had linked-up with their guitarist externally to the venue (possibly outside a flat in Moulsecombe or somewhere). But they may have been from Space. Outer Space.

I bet Lee has wifi on his Vaio. Where is Starbucks in relationship to the venue?!

He's right - I have a little WiFi button. Pretty bloody cool it is too when I find a space to use it.
I think theres a Starbucks next to every venue in the country now....

Just to point out that there is not actually a venue, as there isn't actually a gig yet! But at least there's a group taking shape...

The Monster Season are supporting Cirkus Toe at the Rooms in a couple of weeks (Fri 23rd Oct), if you fancy popping along. Cirkus Toe will be good, at least!

If you didn't see me post it elsewhere, the whole of The Monster Season gig last week is on YouTube here, or you can see that with all the rehearals and odds and ends on our MySpace www.myspace.com/themonsterseasonReactions have been a little mixed.
