www.myspace.com/atpfilm Yay! However, this does of course mean this film will be a long time in the making if he is asking for contributions... Lee - did you get any on your phone?

I'm gonna suggest they contact Duglas T Stewart for the Bowlie footage. One for the Electric Palace once it's done.

The new issue of Uncut has a half-page feature on the (currently unfinished) ATP Film: ATP are expecting to be able to premiere it at the May festivals, yay!

The ATP Film's MySpace page has been updated with a non-specific 'coming soon' promise, the removal of the requests for further footage, and a thanks list of contributors: I recognise 3 names on the list (two from the music press, and John from WIAIWYA Records). Maybe ready NEXT May (if not this Xmas)? EDIT: IMDB have it down as 'completed' www.imdb.com/title/tt0870210/

The film will be a bit of seaside cultural history when it arrives: Pontins are rebuilding the Camber Sands site.

I think this is the official website for the ATP film, possibly now entitled Our True Intent. Teaser footage of Lightning Bolt up there so far anyway.

Update from Facebook! We are really excited. BELLE AND SEBASTIAN, PORTISHEAD, SONIC YOUTH, GRINDERMAN & MORE FEATURED IN ALL TOMORROW’S PARTIES DOCUMENTARY WORLD PREMIERE AT SXSW FESTIVAL ON MARCH 14TH MULTI PLATFORM RELEASE THIS SUMMER THROUGH WARP FILMS Warp X is pleased to announce the completion of All Tomorrow’s Parties, a kaleidoscopic journey into the parallel musical universe of the cult music festival of the same name. All Tomorrow’s Parties is a DIY concert film featuring performances from an eclectic mix of some of the most influential artists including: Battles, Sonic Youth, Belle And Sebastian, Grinderman, Iggy and the Stooges, Portishead, Mogwai, Slint, Grizzly Bear, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Gossip, Daniel Johnston and The Boredoms. The film is a semi-found bricolage made from Super8, camcorder and mobile phone footage contributed by over two hundred filmmakers, fans and musicians over the festival’s recent history, with key contributions from Jonathan Caouette (Tarnation) and Vincent Moon (The Take Away Shows, Arcade Fire). All Tomorrow’s Parties is a fiercely independent festival that many music lovers regard as one of the most important music events in the world. In an intimate and communal atmosphere, free of corporate sponsorship, it serves up a heady combination of alternative music, crazy golf and chalet-living, with musicians and fans living side by side. At each festival a band or artist is chosen to gather up their favourite artists who perform over a weekend in an out-of-season holiday camp by the sea. Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore described the festival as the ‘ultimate mix tape’. All Tomorrow’s Parties will have its World Premiere at the SXSW Festival, screening on 14th, 19th and 21st March. There will be a UK multi- platform release this summer (dates tbc) with one night only theatrical events, a DVD release and digital download available. Visit the film at: www.ourtrueintentisallforyourdelight.com

I just found this buried in the depths of Twitter, the first review of the ATP film.

The ATP film is, apparently, being scheduled for a screening in Brighton in about a month's time - We actually heard where, when & by whom, but it's not been officially confirmed yet. If you want to know what date you probably could keep clear in your diaries, text me.
If it all falls through, Carolyn & I are definitely off to the 2nd ATP festival in December, so hopefully it'll be on then (if Warp Films haven't released the DVD already).

Carolyn & I have a supply of A2 posters for the ATP film, to promote next Saturday's screening at the Duke Of Yorks, Brighton (Cine City were expecting a dozen, Warp sent 100). We've spent the afternoon distributing most of them around Brighton, but there's still a handful left, so if anyone has suggestions of places that they might want to display them in, let us know while we've still got them.

The Sticks now playing at the Duke Of Yorks for the ATP Film screening. Check the latest Camber Sands-heavy clip here, it's great. Really hoping Warp Films pull their finger out and confirm our tickets!

Finally saw the ATP Film at the weekend - lots and lots of fun and nonsense. No sign of anyone we know (not us, our friends, bands we met, label owners, etc) from any of the Camber events in the film, perhaps suprisingly. But there is a lot of Camber stuff for nostalgic purposes (the rest is all Minehead, nothing from any of the US or Australian events, or indeed any other non-festival ATP gigs). DVD out soon anyway, which I'll pre-order, if anyone wants to watch it.

I'd really recommend this to anyone. Obviously you'd probably be more interested if you'd been to the festival but I think it is a good film either way. Lots of fun.
Am looking forward to it arriving this week, hopefully.

Am looking forward to it arriving this week, hopefully. Probably not: Amazon have emailed their standard 'awaiting stock' message. Delayed, I think, 'cos Warp might have shifted the release date back to honour their promise that customers ordering direct from the Warp Film Store would get theirs first.
