I wouldn't say final but it certainly wasn't my best.
Still available for weddings and barmitzphas.
Twocsinak was fucking brilliant. You would have loved it Stu. I filmed some on my mobile.
He condensed an entire fall album down into 3 mins by not repeating any words in the lyrics.
Plus a song about trying to get Max Tundra remixes.
Verlaine and I purchased copies of album simultaneously. I'll bring a copy over.

Saturday night will be live music down Smugglers for Helen and Patrick's engagement, so that'll be fun for you to come along to, I hope. Does anyone know who might be playing? I'd imagine a Deano, Hayley, Rufus kind-of line-up...

Oh, just found this month's Spirit Of Gravity flyer in time... Tuesday 29th May at the Marlborough Theatre (as usual): Terror Wogan vs Sirloin Dion/ Faoi/ Harmonium Hash Tables. Is Lee compering Spirit Of Gravity events now? Also: SOG, Wrong Music et al are promoting National Noise Day in Brighton on 31st May: lots of street performances, installations at the Hobgoblin, and loads of noisy music (including Extreme Noise Terror!) at the Volks. www.national-noise-day.co.uk

Little Boat, Power Up and Fallow at tonight's Spirit Of Gravity, with Lee compering. Marlborough Theatre, as usual.
SOG at Ju Ju on Saturday for Brighton Live features Lee as Rashamon, plus Same Actor and Terror Wogan.
Rashamon also now confirmed (as far as Lee's concerned) for the Concorde 2 all-dayer on Saturday. 2 gigs in one day again! That's what you get for quitting music...

This Sound Beaurocracy, Vole, and Jilk & Tulin-Fee at Spirit Of Gravity tomorrow, with Lee compering (still at the Marlborough Theatre, I think, but moving venue soon); then it's a Wrong Music night at Instrumentality (Shitmat, DJ Scotch Egg, maybe others) at the Fortune Of War, so we may pop out for one or both.

Oh, not Bemass (a Bela Emerson thing), but the Safe House Wild-Card Ensemble, which was a bit jazz.
Lee gave me another 'Doctor Who' dvd though, from where a certain major mail-order company keeps duplicating his orders, refunding him on unreturned items, etc... Anyone else getting bonus cds, dvds etc for free when they use internet mail-order, is it just lucky Lee?

Paul once got sent Mean Girls instead of something quite arty. He thought it was on purpose!
I liked the new venue for SOG, albeit possibly smaller than what was the marlborough theatre.
Enjoyable evening last week, however, the Safe House blar blar blar was way too Jazz for me, I found it a bit painful.
Chris was almost being whooped by the adoring crowd, very good!

Tomorrow's the Spirit Of Gravity Xmas special at the Three & Ten, and it's looking like a beauty: Don Tempi; minimal impact and I'm Dr Bouyant; and The Samoans Vs Hunter S Thompson are the promised acts...

What a great Christmas Special. Lee was ill unfortunately but it was good fun otherwise.
Minimal Impact and I'm Doctor Bouyant were very frightening with the accompanying visuals. I felt like I was in groundhog day with the opening clang of Do They Know It's Christmas playing over and over and over and over again.
Don Tempi was brilliant! He was a Mike Flowers Pop styled solo keyboard player, playing hits from adverts in July 1981. I enjoyed the bran flakes - tasy tasty very very tasty in particular.
By this time I was quite drunk and it went a bit wierd.
The Hunter S Thompson tribute was scary / amusing - with the furniture being turned over around us and instruments being played with vegetables.

Also - Instumentality next week (in Brighton's seafront Fortune of War pub) Tuesday 18th from 8. If you are thinking of going - beware it is always a late one with acts not normally starting til 9.30 or so.
- Bela Emerson - -a+m - make instrumental music using 4 hands, 2 heads and 1 slide projector - Noteherder & McCloud - Geoff Cheesemaster with saxophonist. - Tritronics - Trio of artists from Londons Elecktrickery performing on alto flute, cor anglais and bass clarinet, all being manipulated through maxmsp. - Recorded on Sticky tape and rust - Very intriguing group from bournemouth incorperating live recording and processing to create down tempo and off rhythm electronica. - Peter Lyons - usually a full band of drummer, banjo, acoustic guitar, little keyboard, sampler and toys, 3 vocals but stripped down to a solo set with peter lyons on sampler, banjo, laptop, vocal. Peter Lyons is beautifully constructed, playful but melancholic folktronica.

While we're waiting for www.spiritofgravity.com to confirm it's 2008 dates, why not (ie: please do) check the clip of Don Tempi performing 'Pacers' (yes, it's about the chewy mint) on the SOG Blog? Oh, go on.

Tomorrow's Spirit Of Gravity at the Three In Ten has: Con Brio / Disco Tears / o.m.s.-n.m.a. Lee's definitely compering, and www.spiritofgravity.com has details of a new SOG comp (with unreleased Rashamon track, amongst others) which I'll hopefully pick up there.

A very quick return to the Komedia Studio Bar for another Spirit Of Gravity this Saturday (8th Nov), with:
Waxed Apple/ Passiondale/ Concrete Belly
(We're unlikely to be there though, as Charlie's going abroad for a few months, so we're having some leaving drinks in town, starting at The Cricketers in The Lanes, if you want to wave him off.)
