Hey everyone, I've got a bit of time off at the end of this week, around my birthday, and there's a few gigs and things going on that I'm gonna try and get to, so if you fancy any of the following please come along... Thursday: Heading over to Hastings after work, so maybe catch up down the FILO or Horse&Groom? Friday: Off work, heading back to Brighton. There's a typically interesting TattySeasideTown promotion at the Engine Rooms www.myspace.com/tattyseasidetown , but we'll probably just head out to a pub instead. Saturday: Phenomenal-sounding Eastbourne group P For Persia are at the Freebutt - I'm well up for this one. www.myspace.com/pforpersiaSunday: Regular John back in Brighton at a venue called Belushi's, courtesy of the band Flange, who are worth catching in an early Soundgarden manner. Ok?

Cheers, we'll do whichever pub is most favoured by everyone, and will stick around 'til the next day so long as any of you want to put us up for the night (I know work & child things may not make this convenient, so we're holding a 'Last train back to Brighton' plan in reserve...)

As long as you're not too triumphant about not having to work the next day (because I do... ), you're welcome to stay here.

Have a great birthday Stu, we are spending all weekend at the farm trying to sort things out a bit (that means recording playing and drinking).

I'm favouring the inevitable FILO option for tomorrow evening, unless there's any objections. Am working 'til 5pm, then gotta turn things around at home before getting the train, but will easily be down the pub before 8pm I reckon. Mmm...Crofters!

Yeah, I'm gonna have to start relying on those reliable, unbribeable journalists on the Observer Music Monthy to tell me what's happening from now on...

yeah tell me about it...we have a new keyboard player that has as many keyboards as you! He's fucking brilliant, my prayers have been answered...(in fact, he works as a musical director for the main church in Horsham)....the Lord must have heard me begging! Jokes apart, he's great and has a proper Hammond with Leslie, a proper Wurlitzer etc etc

This weekend's plans around my birthday are...
Thursday: Pink Narcissus & P For Persia at The King & Queen pub, near Brighton Pavilion. The King & Queens is that large mock-Tudor pub, allegedly seen in an Adam & The Ants video (anyone confirmed this story?) once.
Friday: Probably going up to London in the evening to visit friends.
Saturday: It's my birthday (36, wooh). Maybe the Heart & Hand in Brighton, maybe with Jamie & anyone else who's thinking of a gig that night.
Sunday: Working in daytime. Probably gonna stick in Brighton and do Film Club that evening, although John Wesley Harding's doing a rare free gig at the FILO too.
Anyone?

Cheers, just got back from London, out shortly to the Heart & Hand.
Had a birthday treat of playing on all that adventure playground stuff that's forming the current Turbine Hall exhibition at the Tate Modern: I'm just about to post the pics on Facebook if anyone's been considering it!
