I've got tickets and a new passport, and on Tuesday 26th August will be flying out to Toronto for 10 days, for Nick & Melinda's wedding. I return on Sunday 7th September, to Gatwick Airport at about Four in the morning. This is also the 3rd and final day of Brighton's Colour Out Of Space festival www.colouroutofspace.org at the Sallis Benney Theatre, with an Experimental Film Show at 12pm, a talk & discussion from Byron Coley at 4pm, and live music 6pm-12am from various musicians of the International underground, including a Thurston Moore/Chris Corsano/Bill Nace trio. I'm intending on going to this, as I expect my jet lag, exhaustion and culture shock will make it even more entertaining than it'd normally be... Please don't bump into me as I may topple over.

Just drink yourself through it, thats how I do jet-lag in that direction. All becomes a wonderful emotional blur!

Uh, our friend Sara brought us back a box of 'Canadian Maple Delights' Organic Maple Waffles with Raspberry Maple Spread - I just had two of them, and have noticed my heart speed up already...

Hi all, I'm back home in Hove now - it's been fun! There's a bunch more Toronto videos up on YouTube now if you click on my user ID there: mostly up and down the CN Tower, but with one or two random rubbish suprises too... Right, just gotta clear my head for Colour Out Of Space in an hour or two!

The Noel Gallagher gets battered at Toronto Festival incident happened the weekend that I flew back to Britain from there last year. Nick & Melinda, in the UK over Christmas, hadn't heard about it - it seems Toronto's media presented a much rosier portrait of the event. Happy Happy Virgin Festival!

Nick & Melinda! If you're thinking of going out in Toronto this evening, for one night only (or for the next few hours only, if that), there's some Toronto What's Ons on the East Mag site. It's a cultural exchange! And nothing to do with me. How peculiar.
