Ok, I'm not psychic, but I like coincidences. But: Yesterday mornings' explosions at the Buncefield oil depot in Herts - When I was living with Ade and Will in Hemel Hempstead, back in the summer of 2000, we were in a house in Ritcroft Drive. This is just inside the exclusion zone created after the blast yesterday (see p2 of The Independent for map). One sunny afternoon I was walking back from Leverstock Green to Ade's house (in the general direction of the industrial estate and oil depot), when I was struck by a Blakeian vision of the sky being full of towering walls of flames, to the horizon. I though it was a really striking image, and rather than read anything into it I simply used it as the front cover artwork for my Stay Out Forever tape The Magic Roundabout, which I recorded at the house shortly before returning to Hatsings. So there we are! Whoo!

It's true I didn't have the best times while I was living there, but I was having a nice day when I imagined the flaming skies. Got your Xmas card today, thanks! Think I'm going to SMugglers to see The Heaters, maybe, in a minute, so have a fine evening. Later!
