I'm doing East's website & magazine music listings at the moment - feel free to email details of upcoming events to stu.huggett@eastmagazine.co.uk and, so long as Outlook launches, I can get them included (priority given to gigs in the magazine's distribution area, of course.)
Or just try emailing me randomly at that address anyway, it should work.

The What's On page on the East site (I'm adding February dates this week) is meant to be exhaustive and accurate, but of course it can't be. Let me know if you ever have any urgent additions, amendments, queries etc (particularly relating to the Live Music section), and I'll alter them asap (texting or using the boards is the quickest way to alert me!)

Preparing the music listings for East, it's not all typing up dates for Sonic Oblivion at The Six Bells, Chiddingly. Although it is a lot of that.
Quiz! Which amiable Hastings pub, when giving me their March gigs on the phone earlier, said: "Then on Friday it's... Oh no... Not them again... The worst band in the world... Can you put that next to them in the listings - The Worst Band In The World - please?"
Don't worry, it wasn't about any of you lot!

I think East have fixed my email address so it matches the one they've been printing in the mag all along: stu@eastmagazine.co.uk
Meanwhile, I'll extend the request for info about upcoming gigs & events to cover the Brighton (and surroundings) region too - but if it is a non-Hastings/Eastbourne event, mail me here (or stuhuggett@gmail.com) instead, 'cos there's now possible options of flagging them up in 1, 2, 3 or 0 Brighton-based magazines, if I get round to it.
cheers

If anyone's got gigs in Brighton booked as far ahead as July, let me know in the next few days, 'cos there's an extended deadline (Monday) for the next issue of the Source for potential previews (I've already sent one in for the Down Home Festival, by the way, in case you're wondering).

BUMP!
You might notice that East's online What's On coverage on their site is beginning to include more stuff from outside their magazine distribution area. Make sure you flag-up any and every gig, DJ night, stand-up show etc that anyone has coming up anywhere in East & West Sussex so I can add them in (it doesn't matter how far off or where it takes place, so long as it's a public event rather than a private one).
cheers

As some of you know, I'm also now submitting listings info for the On phone application. Whether you've got a compatible phone or not, you can still visit the website to view the listings, and submit your own ones to go live... www.on-uk.com

A revamped version of the listings on the East Magazine site went live yesterday, basically with loads of extra info from the phone app, plus the links for people to add their own events, filter according to area, price and genre, that sort of thing. You can see it all at www.eastmagazine.co.uk/whatson/ - Obviously some entries are more detailed than others, depending on what we've been sent and my own wider knowledge of a venue or performer, so some of them are very sparse in fact. Anyway, there it is.
