Due to James joining Lil' Kim's band in LA, The Long Goodbye are looking for a new bass player. Suggestions welcome, if you know anyone that would fit in please send them our way! We now have Mr Benny Blaka on drums and also a new keyboard player. More news coming soon x

Sorry, Alfie, can't help you with this one, but I'm hi-jacking the thread temporarily 'cos Vile Electrodes also need a stand-in female bassist for a gig the week after next. This is actually a dead-easy offer! Check the info from Jane: Our bass player can't do the Vile Electrodes Barfly (London) gig on Sat 23rd May so we're looking for a potential stand in. They'd need to be pretty confident at learning easy bass parts quickly (all stuff can be emailed), or confident to mime the parts on stage to a sequenced backing track. 35 min set. We can do the gig without a bass player but we're just asking around, as I quite like having a more "live" band (even if it is a mimed deception!). Also, without wanting to sound like an image nazi, the'd need to fit with the band aesthetic. So happy to get very glammed up, wear heels, and wear band uniform (red and black for the 23rd!). We're not that hopeful but doesn't hurt to ask, eh?! www.myspace.com/vileelectrodes

Actually Stu, i forgot to say that we have found a new bass player. And a new drummer. And a new keyboard player. Expect The Long Goodbye to come back soon with a cracking new lineup and new album, the way it was always meant to be. Serious. We are gonna kick some ass.
