I've only seen Bela once - at that West Hill (Bton) evening - thought she was amazing.
Lee - I thought there was a charge tonight - but no matter really. See you guys there!

Is this inter-cellist criticism, Petra? I enjoyed Bela at Poorboys (see blog), although - in the Rutles-style - I think it was the trousers. Lee: anyone who DOESN'T go to see Britch is gay? Have fun y'all.

Sorry about the East/West mix up to anyone who spent the afternoon on the wrong hill. To those who did manage to turn up despite crap directions, thanks. I had a real nice afternoon :-)

Tim's playing Bar Blah (Marine Court) later, if anyone fancies going. I want to start a fan-club for him: Team Hoyte. Or shall we go to the pub?

Turns out Tim's gig was an afternoon (4-6pm) one anyway! May just be the internet and questionable tins of lager (that Primus stuff Duncan and Angie bought, in fact - if I suddenly develop the ability to play rapid slap-bass I'll let you all know) for me...

The Crypt, 7:30? Anyone? Or just me and (probably) Reuben?

Oh yes, enjoy.
I have the sugababes tonight. I have spent the last 12 hours throwing up so I am not looking forward to it at all.
Re: Mumm-Ra. A local events guide for Tunbridge Wells recently referred to Mumm-Ra and Duplo in the same double page spread. How unlikely.

Why is the Tunbridge Wells listings mag mentioning Duplo, we've not reformed again have we?

You are welcome to play at my party if you have There was a write up about Lee, which was basically lifted from his website so mentioned Duplo. He played at the Forum last week. As did Mumm-Ra I think.

Wow, Duplo only ever got mentioned in fanzines (not just ours) before: that makes it our first bit of professional press, I think! What was the Tunbridge Wells listings mag called, any idea?

Thanks Caroline. My body is screaming - stop being such a knob. I never thought I would be pleased to be going to a seated gig! How did it go? Did you manage not to vomit on yourself or your fellow Sugababes fans and have a good time?

Stu - not sure what it was called. Will find out and let you know.
Sugababes were great. Lots of fun. I managed not to be sick whilst there (although was before and after). I was pleased I wasn't sick there as the audience was mostly children, and they wouldn't have liked that at all.
I love the sugababes. They cannot dance at all so just stood still on stage for about 90 mins last night. They did Rocks which was cringeworthy. They had pictures of starving african children behind them when they did stronger..... I laughed out loud.
The best bits were Freak Like Me, obviously. And when they did Walk This Way they put on really common voices for the Girls Aloud pieces - brilliant.

Apparently Dean's gonna play Le Pattie Cafe tonight, so that's where I'm gonna go to drink for my birthday, if anyone's coming out to join us all. If Le Pattie gets cancelled, well, I'll send a text around with an alternate birthday plan (if not an alternate gig plan).
