I'm a bit stuck for titles. I've come up with "UNEASY LISTENING WEARY TALES". Is that a good one? Another one was "MOTHER'S RUIN" or "THE BEAUTIFUL AND BEWILDERED" What do you reckon?

'Mother's Ruin' is good - works on so many levels! Well, two or three.

The album is finished! Mixing starts in September. Possibly out mid October-November...can't wait, it's been driving me round the twist!

working title, "A LOST DAY IS FOUND".....is that good?

If it was me, I might get rid of the 'is' and replace it with a comma, thus:
"A Lost Day, Found."
But yes, it's a nice title, very evocative...

that sounds nice too, but does it mean the same? With the "is" i think it gives you the impression that it's something that has just happened, or is happening.

washboard added by the mighty josie...wow a balst from the past that is. It's had woodworms for years but it's still in one piece. The woodworm ash comes off the bottom in massive quantities when you play it. Me and gez snorted some once. Serious, we did.

Banjo on "Breaking Down" added by Paul Bishop (fucking great session banjo player i know from years back doing festivals). EQuing in progress! PS-I'm shocked nobody made a comment about me and gez snorting woodworm ash!

I was trying to think of a woodworm-related gag, but my brain was still in shock...

Well allright...Anita Jardine of Contraband fame is now on board on piano/hammond and vocals. That's one thing sorted. Also we have a 4 track acoustic demo finished which we are gonna use to get us some trio gigs, and the album is getting mixed, 5 tracks out of 12 are now done. We have a few acoustic gigs coming up, including a double slot athe Bridgehouse in Horsham with Tim and Hayley, and a Xmas frenzy at the Smugglers on Saturday 29th December so stick that in your diary, it would be good to see you all there so we can toast to nice holiday times! Bring it on x

Good Xmas plan, Alfie: Are any other Xmas/New Year gigs confirmed at Smugglers (or elsewhere) yet from you, Rumiko, Rufus etc, that I could notify East about in the next few days for next month's issue?

I'm not sure what it means, but I like it.
Re Xmas gigs, I will check to see if our traditional New Years Day noisefest is happening.

I think I'll be in Brighton New Year's Eve, as am working, but have got New Year's Day off, and probably 2nd of Jan off as a lieu day, so I'm hoping to get over for any New Year's Day Smugglers event. New Year's Eve itself - Pub?
