It was phenomenal, one of the best gigs i've ever seen. They are the best band, full stop. Best ideas, best sounds, best lyrics. And they are nice guys. Wow!

Can you tell me when you get a copy of East? There will be a awful review of our gig in Eastbourne (the one that we had to do as a duo at the last minute because we got let down by the now-sacked bass player!) and i would like to read it so i don't get involved with unreliable musicians again! Alfie, East is now out, and although The Long Goodbye review isn't in the magazine, it is online here www.eastmagazine.co.uk/reviews/review_details.asp?review=177 And it's good!

Fuck me, the guy was kind on us! Mind you, we did go all soppy and played with a lot of love, almost as we were feeling sorry for ourselves. I guess we did. Both me and Jake are really looking forward to meet other musicians that really UNDERSTAND. It's not about how good you are, it's about how you FEEL IT. And we have so much feeling, it hurts now that we haven't got the band going. Anyway, hopefully we'll find someone!

That's not the first time a Donkey Kong cd's turned up in a charity shop, is it? In the honour of social responsibility, we should recommend people to buy the Age Concern copy, rather than just going to the Musical Xchange for a new one, I suppose.
Is Dean playing down The Street tomorrow (Wednesday)?

Hey Marcus, what's with the Macy's gift card and breasts stuff going on on the Rumiko myspace pages?

Spam, spam and spam. Not logged in for awhile. The Macy's gift card ad is all over myspace. The breasts stuff are a new development - do they look alright (As Chris Jordan said to the Bishop)?

The animation at full resolution is now on our server - www.rumikojr.com/sitemovie.movIt takes about 5 minutes to load as we haven't compressed it yet, but it does look fantastic. Leon eventually plans it to become a music video the plot of which involves Jimmy being kidnapped and imprisoned in a cloud castle by baddies and then we all go and kick their asses. I don't want to dwell on the psycho-sexual fairytale aspect of this plot, just remember this is Leon's fantasy.

I can't wait to see us riding up to cloud castle on the carosel horses. It's going to be like an episode of my little pony on drugs.

I saw Harry Holmes in Brighton yesterday: he says he's also having a leaving do at Smugglers this week, but on the Friday, with Rumiko, R John, Superdog & Hayley playing - is this also correct? Are Rumiko playing two successive nights/leaving do's there then?

in theory yes. I'm not sure if he's confirmed it with Ewan or if hayley knows it's on. or if the john can do it for that matter. well something will happen anyways.

Yep, it would be the following Friday - I've been getting my weeks mixed up. Harry's leaving do: Fri 30th Nov. Patrick's leaving do: Sat 1st Dec. Subject to Smugglers-approval then!

We are confirmed for our traditional New Years Day shindig. Line-up to follow but expect the usual suspects.

Rufus texted: Rumiko Jr at Smugglers tomorrow (Thursday)? Some of the East mag lot are gonna be having Xmas drinks in town too, taking in Blair's gig at Black Market, and Logan's at Porters; but I'll probably be in Brighton anyway.

It's a shame they didn't come to the Rumiko gig, it was awsome. Might just be the best I've ever heard them play. So for those that missed out on Thursday, come to this!
