Rumiko at The Smugglers this Friday for Lisa's Birthday. Professional ivory tickler and proper Dr Funkenstein Jolyon Brooks will be joining us on keys. Hayley might be singing some songs, we did ask Hoyte but he is going to a puppet show, which I can only assume to be a euphemism for some kind of sadistic gangland slaying.
Do come along won't you?

I might have a short set sorted for Lisa by Friday (just a few disco covers). I just need some space on the floor, a couple of PA inputs and a mic. It will mean dropping some gear of at the basement later in the week. I'll keep people posted

Good to see you in Time Out there, I'd never heard of 'barn rock' before.

Just to confirm, I will be playing Lisa's 29th (I say 'playing' but I'd be more accurate to describe it as pressing play on a sequencer and pissing about over the top with a speak and spell and a vocoder). WARNING expect disco music and a very poor show to boot

-- This Saturday @ Tommy Flynn's, Camden High Street ---
Rumiko in that London. 10pm.
Mystery drummer joining us. I don't know who he thinks he is, but I think he's Bill Darlington.

Re: this Friday's monthly Smugglers slot/Dean's birthday gig - Although Carolyn & I are both off work on the Friday, I've got work on the Saturday, so we'll probably stick to our Brighton Live plans. But I'm thinking of coming to Hastings Sunday evening - which is Dean's actual birthday - and hitting a pub, as I've got the Monday off. I'd be up for seeing people if they're out again, especially if they wanna put me up too! FILO? H&Groom? Basement?

I know we're playing the 6th Feb at the Brass Monkey. It's the album launch so it would be great if you guys could make it (all the Rumiko boys are DJing btw)

I punted several bits of February-release news to East for next month's issue over the weekend, but we've missed the deadline to include this one as well, sorry.
Still, might make it over to Hastings again for the gig, if we're lucky!

Toungue-in-cheek Facebook campaign group now created to find a million 'friends' for Rumiko, and subtly plug the new album. Honest, if it works you might at least get a million people downloading Haunting The Townsfolk off iTunes - Bargain!

Have you confirmed if you're playing Smugglers tomorrow, as fairly usual? We'll probably come over if you are.

Sorry to hear gig pulled tonight (unless all the decent bands in Hastings are in collusion with our friends to put me off ever entering the town again!) Get well soon to Jimmy and all that. And don't forget to look out for the East feature if you pop out anywhere else - Adam reckoned copies should be thoroughly distributed by now. The Smugglers residency gets a mention too.

Hello boys, are you coming/playing/planning to attend Bobstock on Sat 1 August? Need to know. Got The Laylanas, Two Fingers of Firewater, and some other great bands this year!

I'd quite like to do Smugglers this Friday, but it's probably dependant on getting my final JSA payments through - otherwise it's Film Club for me. Is it still the Lay Lanas with Rumiko this month?
