Chatting to Dean down Revolver last night, he almost seems to be on a health-kick at the moment (fear of turning Thirty maybe). Though this will probably go out the window on Friday!
The only way I ever get through things like this (if I choose to) is to order a glass of coke every time I get a pint, and alternate my sips between each. Makes them both taste rubbish, and paces the evening out. Though this leaves one open to having one's coke spiked with alcohol, thereby sending the evening off in completely the unintended direction.
I think you may just have to pass your state over the rest of the weekend off to Robert as a Diana Ross -style Love Hangover!

Damn shame, it was a great night! I went home during Ambrose Tompkins' set 'cos I had to work today: you'll notice no-one else has been on the boards today though, which may be interpreted as a sign of some late nights... Dean & Danielle popped into the shop just before 5:30 though: they'd had a good time, and were looking healthy again. We'll see you another time, Alfie!

I've got to work, and won't be home 'til after 6pm, but everyone's very welcome to see the parade from our house (including parents..), followed by beach/pub (FILO beer festival) etc...

I liked the departed, even though it is a re-make and even though i hate di caprio and damon.

it was okay. the problem was watching the plot unravel and fall to the floor two thirds of the way in. up until that point it was good. naturally not as good as snakes on a plane but i think i'm the only one who knows that!!!

Jack Nicholson was hilarious - unlike his peers his acting still surprises.

Wotcha Rumiko watchers,
We will be playing a secret gig this Saturday. Details are on a need to know basis and at the moment you don't need to know. Trust us this is for your own safety. Meet outside Cafe Tempo, Queens Road, Hastings on Saturday at 3.00 pm and await further instructions. Tell only those you can trust and make sure you aren't followed.
Later that day we are playing a not so secret gig at The Brass Monkey where we will be joined the fragrant and lovely Cloudesly Shovell and stinking art rockers The Regular Johns.
See you Saturday people and remember, watch the skies.
Rumiko Jr

What on Earth are you going on about? I'm supposed to be at work Saturday afternoon, but by some quirk of fate I've actually ended up running the shop all week. So, halfday early closing on Saturday: is it worth it?

Hard to say, it will either be a really damp squib or something a little bit special. All I can say is that is in an unusual Queens Road location and it is without the permission of The Man.

I'm still rather in the dark, but at least this explains why I'd got the line-up wrong for the Brass Monkey on my site... [Here it comes...] ...I thought we were going to a Gorilla gig! [Dies]

Marc's posted his report on the Source's opening day on the News page of www.sourcebmx.com - There's a photo of Rumiko playing on the roof, and if you click on it you get a media-player slideshow of photos from the refit/opening, over the studio recording of Carve My Way.

Played at the Smugglers on sunday, cracking gig, not one face there I knew. So there you go Marcus, going back to our Joogleberry conversation, there's the proof.

Everyone got destroyed at The A-Team Halloween extravaganza the night before, try a Saturday in a Hastings venue I'm not boycotting and I'm there.

Alfie, there was a whole bunch of us down The Street when you played on Wednesday - possibly 'cos you'd texted and told people it was on! I don't remember hearing you were playing Smugglers on Sunday too, but I'd been away all weekend. Relax fella!
