Dunno about tonight, but tomorrow's events have already come up on the 'Nov 4th' thread:
The Crypt - The Flesh Happening & Regular John. Brass Monkey - Mookie & Doctor Fonda.
I'm off to see The Gossip in Brighton on Sunday with a bunch of Cami's friends too. It'd probably be FILO quiz if you're in Hastings though.

Songwriting workshop at White Rock Hotel in afternoon with Chris Difford, followed by his concert at St Mary In The Castle, as part of Word About Town. That's a bit specific really, dunno about anything else.

Just checked the Brass Monkey's site (I didn't know Tim Williams was back over...) and it's Seasick Steve tonight, so that'd probably be worth going out for (again, admittedly) - Is anyone heading into town for him?

Sorry if this is a bit late, Alfie, but it's Reuben djing at the Dragon, Rufus' band playing Brass Monkey, and Caragh's birthday party. Or 'An Audience With Take That - Live' on ITV...which may be the one to go for. C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon Take That! And Party!

I promised I'd go to both these gigs (Cloudelsely Shovell at Smugglers too, for Xanten's birthday), but it requires someone to ring me up and offer to lend me some money, for I'm a bit Rupert Grint... See you tomorrow otherwise!

Anyone got any plans for a Friday night? Caroline and I are up for something ('though not swinging) and I need to be spending less time with my new synth.

Not entirely sure why the boy felt the need to clarify that we weren't up for swinging... don't think anyone had suggested it, had they? Clearly something that's preying on his fevered imagination...! (And now all I can picture is the flabby toothless swingers from that Louis Theroux show.) *shudder*

I did check about this weekend's possible entertainment in the Puch, and... nothing much! You're nothing to do with the band Alfie & The Alcoholics are you? 'Cos if you are, you've got a gig at The Angel.
I vote for some Old Town pub stuff, ie the FILO!

No, the other Alfie is fat, ugly, old, and can sing...exactly the opposite! The only thing we have in common is that we are both alcholics

Picnicing - are you sure? Will try and be in Hastings Castle on Sunday for the Michael Powell/Andrew Kotting/Iain Sinclair bits and pieces for Shot By The Sea though.

wow, the much neglected weekend thread anyone planning on picnicing/visiting hastings museum this weekend? Will probably give the grand opening of the museum a miss, but may wander down on Monday, assuming all the packing/last minute bits for Scilly are done. Want me to give you a call if I do, or are you planning to take the B-boy on Saturday?

'Jaws' begins 9:30pm on the beach tomorrow - and it's 124 minutes long! If anyone needs to pop back to mine before, during or after, it won't be a problem - we may be needing tea & toilet breaks!

Is there anything going on tonight? I'm due back at work next week and could do with going out in public since I've spent much of the week either down the basement or sitting about in my pants at home.

Think we'll be in Hastings, which is a shame - otherwise I would've come along. Is it an evening thing? If so and our plans change we might see you there.
